Hi all,

On argouml.tigris.org is mentioned that ArgoUML is distributed with
the new BSD license. (A previous talk about this subject established
that the new BSD license is most suited for ArgoUML, if I recall
correctly)
What about the copyright holder.
In all ArgoUML's sources it's mentioned in the header that the
intellectual property is assigned to "The Regents of the University of
California", they are the copyright owners.

IMO, the ArgoUML organization should hold the copyright rights for
ArgoUML's source code.

What is your opinion on this matter?

I compared the template of the new BSD license
(http://opensource.org/licenses/bsd-license.php) which is linked from
ArgoUML web site and it seems to me that it differs from the text of
ArgoUML's licence in the headers of the source files.
I'm not an expert in this field, so I'm asking it is correct like this
or ArgoUML's license template should change according to the one
specified by OSI.

Bogdan
