a.. Diagrams are more useful on larger projects than smaller projects.
Or when the matter is complicated. Do you have all well known patterns in your head? I find it hard to understand a 2 class configuration like the composite pattern without diagram.
b.. If ArgoUML does not use itself for diagrams, what does that say about the project? Why would anyone want to use this software if it's not good enough for its creators?
That is not true - the cookbook is full with diagrams. Architecture, and even e.g. the issues process. More is welcome, though.In attachment one I used to know how to deal with these GEF classes - feel free to add it to the cookbook or anywhere.
