--<snip>--

A while ago, I looked over the undo code and found that a good part already
exists. We have a undo manager and undo code here and there. Unfortunately,
most folks working on new features, modules etc, don't seem to be aware of
this, and
so they don't use or extend the current undo system.

On the general development of Argo: looking back to the early days, when Argo
finally became opensource, it seems to me, that the whole development process
was a lot more dynamic and faster. It required more time to be spend on the
current
task, be it a bugfix, a new feature, whatever. But since you saw the results
quicker,
it kept you motivated to continue your work.
Maybe some of the developers just got a bit old and maybe also a bit
frustrated.
10 years ago, those few existing UML tools were cutting edge stuff, and seemed
to be the next big thing in software development. It reminds me a bit of the
.com
bubble, where everyone was working on some website day and night, because
they thought they might make history. Noone had to be motivated, because
everyone believed in the project.
Now, 10 years later, it seems that Argo is still a project from a few
specialists for
a few specialists. Does anyone believe, that adding the feature x might broaden
the userbase to an extend, that the developers feel 'rewarded' or recognized for
their work?
Don't want to sound too negative, but it seems to me, that the Argo team has
failed to 'sell' it's project, so it's gets the attention, that attracts new
developers
and keeps the current developers motivated.

Ciao,
Andreas
