Well, the first bug Linus found was mine, so I don't think you can claim exclusive credit. Besides when an entire subsystem goes a decade without any unit tests, there's plenty of "credit" to be shared by everyone. I'd like to see the feature remain. I agree that at least one more alpha release is needed. I think an alpha release is needed which includes all the work open P2s (especially issue 5500), but I don't really understand what other factors are going into the planning, so I don't know how many additional releases (if any) should be planned.
