Hi, I'm for that patch and would like to test it.
My opinion on releasing ArgoUML is: let's not hurry. The changes we need to make require another beta release, I think. I'd be happy with another week for beta5, but if we agree to make the stable release next, I wouldn't die... ;-) But one wish: don't make a stable release earlier than a few days after the last patch is committed, please!
