Hi, a diagram is saved as an .pgml file only inside of a .zargo or .uml file and depends on the also included .xmi file, which contains all the model elements. Please distinguish between the model itself (nongraphical tree of model data) and the diarams (set of graphical elements that in most cases are graphical representation of model elements.
Conclusions: - a diagram needs all referenced model data - diagram import must ensure that this model data is there - so, also the model in the .xmi file needs to be read - conflicts with the current model need to be resolved The easier task is the case when another diagram with the same name already exists: simply rename it until it's ok. I just wanted to give you this additional info for the attack plan that Michiel asked about. If you consider all this: yes your can! :-) Regards, Thomas -------- Original-Nachricht -------- > Datum: Thu, 02 Apr 2009 13:54:31 +0200 > Von: Michiel van der Wulp <[email protected]> > An: [email protected] > Betreff: Re: [argouml-dev] Button to import a saved diagram > aminesirine wrote: > > Can I create a button to insert a saved diagram into the current project > without deleting the previous added diagrams? > > > > > > Sure, but instead of a button, make it part of our File menu please. > > > See also issue 3361 and the various linked issues. > http://argouml.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3361 > > Can you describe what exactly you would like to merge, and how you would > implement this? > I.e. a plan of attack... > > Kind regards, > Michiel > > ------------------------------------------------------ > http://argouml.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=450&dsMessageId=1518093 > > To unsubscribe from this discussion, e-mail: > [[email protected]]. > To be allowed to post to the list contact the mailing list moderator, > email: [[email protected]] -- Psssst!
