This already works so I suspect you need to describe your requirements in more details
e.g. 1. Create class A 2. Create Class B 3. Create an association or a generalization between Class A and Class B 4. Create a new diagram 5. Drag Class A to that diagram 6. Drag class B to that diagram The association, generalization or whatever other relationship that exists between those two classes should appear in the diagram. You can also do this for new model element. 1. Create class A 2. Hover the mouse over the class so that you can see the toolbelt buttons around the class. 3. Click the association or generalization toolbelt button to create a new class and the appropriate connecting edge. If you have some new requirement then please supply a list of step similar to that above for what you wish to see and explain how the system is supposed to determine which classes to connect with which type of relationship.
