Thank you for your kind answer Bob. However, I was not able to locate the string "org.omg.xmi.namespace.UML" in any of these two documents.
May be you got me wrong: I'm not looking for specifications about the concept or use of namespaces in UML or the like. I'm looking for a somewhat official document that maps e.g. the string "org.omg.xmi.namespace.UML" to the 05-04-01.pdf document specifying UML 1.4.2 in order to direct you - the agrouml implementers - to use that string as a namespace while exporting a UML model to a XMI representation. It would even be better if I could find a document with all namespace strings for any UML specification known so far. Does someone know how those mappings get defined globally?
