I've just fixed the collaboration diagram so that it can start to behave like a UML2 communication diagram by replacing the classifier roles with a lifeline (however we still need to resolve this defect - http://argouml.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=6263).
This means that all our existing UML1.4 diagrams now operate to some degree in UML2 mode. We were once at the point that there was so much not working that there was hardly much point in raising issues. I think we have crossed some threshold now, there is some dim light appearing at the end of the tunnel.. I would ask that anyone who can spare the time tests each diagram type and raises any defects found. Once we have a defect list we can really quantify the effort to complete this. I think we can probably get away with a UML2 release that has all our existing diagrams only and then add new diagram types on subsequent releases.
