We are also getting occasional Windows bugs in our current color support, see

I think it's because of Clint, the library we are currently using.
I personally had a very good experience using just
[blessings|https://pypi.python.org/pypi/blessings] with
[colorama|https://pypi.python.org/pypi/colorama/0.2.4]. See my solution
