Topology After validation the match between the substituted node and the substituting template, substitution template is instantiated, and the overall topology is created from all the nodes, requirements, and capabilities. If such a topology cannot be created, an error is thrown. We are striving to create a unified model of both the top level service template and the substituting template, without the need from some helper logical nodes that will represent connecting points. I assume the validation happens during the parsing stage when we are creating a "service-template" of a top level service template. Now when you state "substitution template is instantiated", is it the service creation from a service-template of a top-level service template ?
