I think I am pretty much done with reorganising the release process.

and I have made some changes in the Maven best practice pages here:

The blueprint distribution is checked in, it includes all the aries jars
required for blueprint (ir proxy- util-), this is done using the
maven-assembly plugin and I think its a very useful addition to the
release scheme. I plan on doing one for application (isolating and
non-isolating) next week.
