Lets move this to the dev thread so others can tune in. I just described a
possible solution for the proxy server there.
I agree we should not need many special hooks to implement this. I am also not
thinking necessarily thinking about hooks outside the standards but rather
minimal things to cover the requirements. For example you mentioned that we
need a filter for the endpoint listener. This is one thing we will need to add
to the zookeeper discovery. I also found this for the example I described on
the dev list. Maybe this is already all we need.
