3.4.7 was retracted shortly after it was released due to a serious issue (a
deadlock iirc). 3.4.8 was then released a while later once the issue was
resolved - I was not aware that it included a serious issue of its own.
Unfortunately their releases are few and far in between, so it's usually a
choice between being stuck on a buggy old version or a buggy new version :-)
