I added ARROW-477 to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ARROW-353. Do we agree with the blockers, or is there anything else we want to do before cutting a release candidate? With SPARK-13534 getting closer to merge-readiness https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/15821, we will want to have 0.2 Arrow JARs available for them to use in their pom.xml.
