Hi All, I got in touch with NPM to see whether we can get the arrow package name on NPM (right now, we use apache-arrow). The arrow package at https://www.npmjs.com/package/arrow has been unused for years and so I asked whether we can use it for Apache Arrow.
While they rejected my request for now, they said that “Please know, however, that we are willing to re-review our decision should we get a request from an Apache org (https://github.com/apache) owner.” Would an owner of the org be willing to send a request? I can help formulate it. Thank you, Dom
