Hi Pedro, Please excuse my late response. Now that I am back to focusing on Arrow (specifically Arrow Java), I am catching up on the mailing list.
Your proposal seems very reasonable. Adding the optional is_update boolean to the Flight SQL proto appears straightforward, as do the corresponding changes to the Client PreparedStatement and handler. I will review the proto and Java PRs shortly. Thanks! Regards, JB
