Currently you can push Project into the source but not Select.
You're welcome to enhance IMetedataProvider to support that. You can take
a look at DataSourceScanPOperator:

mp.getScannerRuntime(dataSource, vars,
projectVars, scan.isProjectPushed(), scan.getMinFilterVars(),
