Umesh Padashetty commented on ATLAS-3237:
-----------------------------------------

[~Zep] This is by design, since most of the metadata in Atlas is onbaorded via
hooks and bridges. The entites which appear in the create entity drop down can
be set using the config "atlas.ui.editable.entity.types" property which can be
configured as editableEntityTypes and DEFAULT_EDITABLE_ENTITY_TYPES in
AdminResource.java.

If you prefer not making the changes in the code (allowing the entities to
appear by default), then you can add the property
atlas.ui.editable.entity.types in atlas-application.properties and restart.

Values are comma separated, for instance,
_atlas.ui.editable.entity.types=hdfs_path,kafka_topic_
