Erik Bergenholtz commented on ATLAS-321:
----------------------------------------
The Atlas UI can be integrated into Ambari using the Hive View framework. This
can be done in two ways:
1. Simply embed Atlas UI in an iFrame using the iFrame view:
https://github.com/hortonworks-gallery/ambari-iframe-view
2. Create a custom Ambari view that deploys the UI as an integrated view
(similar to the Tez View). This approach is much more complex and may not be
suitable for Atlas since the UI + Backend/Server is run as a single process.
Feasibility of embedding the Atlas process in Ambari needs to be investigated.
I would recommend initially taking the iFrame approach and integrating identity
propagation with Ambari if that is feasible.
