[~jonesn], clearly it is desirable to keep up with the later stable versions -
particularly in the face of improvements. We are working with our internal
cross-functional teams to see how we can get to the point of moving to JDK 8
and thereby free us to adopt newer versions of the system. We'll keep folks
posted on this JIRA.
