Madhan Neethiraj commented on ATLAS-1608:
-----------------------------------------

[~ssainath] - good questions!

bq. 1. What is meant by making Search Tab default ?
When user logs into Atlas, the left navigation shows 'Tags' tab as selected.
Given that most people would be interested in searching for an entity/tag/word
in Atlas, showing 'Search' as the default seems more useful

bq. 2. Basic search (Full Text Search) also shows both Search by type and
Search by query like DSL Search which seems confusing to the user
In a deployment with large number of entities/tags, full-text search returns a
lot of results and the user might have to be click through multiple pages to
find what they were looking for. For example, while trying to find a table by
its name using full-text search, the result would also contain many column
objects. Hence providing typeName and classificationName filters could be
helpful to narrow the search result.
DSL is for the advanced users, who mastered the syntax. However, most business
users may not be comfortable with this interface.

bq. 3. In Tags Tab ,we have DSL search of tag already. Basic Search has Search
by tag. Why do we have tag search in Basic search ?
Same as #2 above.
