If this is largely intended to solve a UI problem, perhaps the fix should be on the UI, rather than to alter something that is core to Aurora's current design (homogenous tasks). I suspect there's lots of low hanging fruit in terms of UI improvements that could help address the proliferation of jobs that would result that might be easier to tackle.
