Consider the amount of trouble you have replacing apache 1.3 with 2.0.
Ummm... As one who might have to do that - I hope this is irony.
Replacing Apache 1.3 with 2.0 is piece of cake if you don't have to rewrite your own modules.
that's because teh module api was completely refactored and cleaned up in an totally back-incompatible manner.
But since almost nobody nowadays writes an apache module, this should not be a problem for you as a web server user.
