I've really grown to dislike the cornerstone package structure. Of course, this might hit some users hard.
My personal take:
If it is necessary to change package names and code, then please document the changes thoroughly, write migration instructions and put that in a release notes or readme file.
Alternatively, if noone feels like writing migration docs, release Cornerstone as-is and refactor later.
