My recent exposure to ClearCase also increases my fear that it is an
over-engineered product, but I may be utterly wrong. I like the fact that 4

commands does my daily job, not the 15 or so commands in CC.

<REPLY>
I use ClearCase here at work and it is the "Rolls-Royce" of version control
systems.

Having tried both base ClearCase and ClearCase UCM I would say that UCM is
a definite improvement. It is also tightly integrated with WSAD (sans
Eclipse) IDE that we use here.

Have not had much go wrong with it (I did read Berin's comment). Mind you
we do have a good support area.

Sorry bit of a defence for ClearCase.

Maybe I am just a old-fashioned re-actionist that doesn't belong in the
high-tech industry ;o)
