Hello. I'm going to be working on my IoC tutorial (http://www.jadetower.org/spire/mutuals/) and I'm thinking about moving it here to Avalon. It would be a beginner's introduction to SoC/IoC and Avalon in general. Trick is, I want to include basic examples for PicoContainer and Spring Framework so users can compare and contrast. The licenses for these two projects should allow us to host the code and tutorials (the actual libraries would be on a maven repository somewhere). Does anyone have any issues with that?
The tutorial code would end up under the package: org.apache.avalon.mutuals and in a new module under avalon in CVS (either 'mutuals' or 'ioc-tutorial' or just 'tutorial'). The tutorial would include: - Introductions to SoC/IoC/COP programming in general - A simple example showing Pico, Spring and Fortress - A more complete introduction to Avalon using Merlin - A PowerPoint presentation Also, the tutorial could be built using Maven and hosted on our website, or it could be done complete in the wiki. I'm up for either. Thoughts? J.
