I study physics dude. With software I'm only interested in long-winded and preferably unfounded discussion and thought exchange that have no basis in knowledge. I thought you had that figured out by now ;)
Very cool I did not know that. I studied physics too.
cool! That must be why you make so much sense ;)
Actually was going to do a Ph.d then bailed out cuz I was starving here in the states.
hmm. The job market for physicists here is better than for compsci's, I think. I'll probably end up majoring in something that relates the two fields, like simulation.
Software development pays the bills and well its way more fun - instant gratification.
indeed. To a point...delayed gratification is nice too. Which is a broad statement I guess ;)
I want to go back to physics at some point. My undergraduate education was based on it too but then I went on to do CS as well. Love them both really.
I love most fields of science :D. I came real close to doing something like contemporary philosphy or one of the social sciences. Money was a big part of the argument against diving too far into those.
I thought for a while about taking CS as a second subject, but they'll make me do lots of boring stuff for a few years before I can start on any kind of fun stuff there. So I'm just doing the fun stuff in my free time ;)
