Over the last 24 hours the avalon cvs has undergone some serious surgery. We have killed off a number of redundant files related to old site management strategies, removed files no long referenced by really old build procedures, moved the tutorials, composition and activation packages to avalon root, updated merlin to move the kernel package to merlin root level, re-synced the build procedures (but I'm expecting a bunch of gump failures in a few hours - but these have already been fixed so tomorrow's gump run should not be a problem).
Consequences - you should delete you current avalon cvs copy and do a clean checkout. Upside - CVS is looking so much cleaner!
