Dude, there are people who actually use Maven, Struts, AspectJ and other terrible injuries to the IT world. :-) DBCP is not good for a real production application. I tried to talk about it in the commons-list and asked about interest to work on a JCA implementation to Jakarta commons, but the discussion got lost. Btw the commons mail list is too fuss.
