Aside from the 'Corporate Look', I DO think that 'Products' are better than 'Projects', as (to me) projects are a sign of limited effort during a limited time with pre-defined exit criteria, whereas a product typically has no preset limits of effort nor time. I think all of ASF should probably consider this distinction.
