I fixed a number of bugs in magic earlier this morning but one more is still in the process of being squashed. Will have more news shortly.

After reading some more topics about magic, I've also tried
ant -buildfile bootstrap.xml ant clean install
Which runs successfully, but trying to run on the root avalon fails with the same message above :-(
