We have located a problem with the 'optional' dependency that possibly only affects the 3.3 release, and that is unfortunate. This has been identified and I hope we can release a fix soon. > - then, should the mime.type file really be required or could > you omit it if you enter an empty string for the filename? As you can see, the MimeTypes is a service, and one can easily create additional MimeTypes components, such as being in the configuration of such mime type component. > - What are the deferences between parameters and configuration, besides > that you can't override a parameter, which is bad for nesting the Facility > further on? Hmmm... This has been below my radar, since I personally never used Parameters before, but Steve convinced me to use it, since Magic have nice support for them to generate blocks with the proper classloader resources in them. There are a few ways to introduce this support, and I think it should be done, BUT I should probably not divert from the Http Facility right now. However, if someone feel like try to scratch the itch (hint, hint, hint), I or Steve will take the time for technology transfer of understanding the relevant core parts to make it happen. > I will try to get down to write a little web-test into the facility, if you > want. That would be great. Bear in mind that the so called default-server.xml block is just a 'playground' at the moment, and that it should not be used other than a vague understanding of how things can be done. Later on, we will need to create a few blocks for commonly occurring Jetty setups.
