Hi, I was just thinking about provinding some AOP to Merlin.
Using AOP could allow simple extentions of Merlin features without strongly impacting on Merlin Kernel Architecture. Having AOP at facility level associated with avalon-meta declaration would allow real simple and powerfull merlin extension. For example : methods could be declared as : - AltRMI support - Webservice - Transaction required (with nested transaction ability) - Access right required - whatever I know that some discussions has been posted on such topic, but I would like to know if any dev or experimentation has already done. BTW I'll be happy to provide some prototype code based on such features.
