Leo Simmons, myself and a few other enterprising folk started a project called ComponentPlanet which was to do just that. We've since all become too busy to do much with it at the moment, but my thought is that perhaps Avalon, particularly as a sort of gateway/federation project could host such a link database and related documentation. Or maybe not. Perhaps it should be somewhere else like ComponentPlanet.org. It's an option either way. J.
