Leo, There appears to be agreement to transfer Framework and LogKit to Excalibur, but there are a couple issues: 1. What about the rest of non-Merlin Avalon (ie- Cornerstone & Phoenix)? 2. What will be the status of Avalon after the transfer? Noel and I have been discussing this on the Avalon PMC list. The catch of the situation is that from Avalon's perspective we need to solve both the Merlin issue and the Framework issue at the same time. We need a complete solution. I understand from Excalibur's point of view that may not seem necessary. The underlying issue is that if we transfer the Framework code to Excalibur then we've effectively made Merlin a TLP here in Avalon. However, the Board has already expressed reservations in a Merlin TLP, so simply creating one under a different name isn't acceptable (yet). There are a number of solutions to this but as of yet there is no consensus on which is best.
