I can definitely see that, My goal is to be able to use the mapreduce api for
avro alongside the current stable release of avro. If you have a suggestion of
where these mapred/mapreduce base classes should live package structure wise
(org.apache.avro.mapreduce.common?), I'll work on it, and rework this patch to
apply to current trunk also.
