It looks like the patch I updated yesterday was stale. Here's the version I
meant to upload, with your change to the test code. Tests pass for me. Do you
still think there's a bug there?
My goal in the format is to make it easy for folks to process 8 bytes of
boolean values by reading a little-endian long.
