FWIW, we should probably change SnappyCodec to use a more-specific exception 
for checksum errors.  Currently it throws IOException.

To implement seekNext() we just need to set blockRemaining=0.  We could add a 
new method for this, or simply call reader.seek(reader.tell()) which would 
accomplish the same.
