Release Note: The changes made to HandshakeRequest.avsc and
HandshakeResponse.avsc will cause incompatibility to the non-Java languages.

Code was modified to support hash algorithms besides MD5. A 64-byte fixed array
to include support for SHA-512 which uses 512-bit digests.
