Zoltan Farkas commented on AVRO-1582:
-------------------------------------

Hi Doug, unions with null with more than 2 other types will be serialized the
same was as they are now.
My patch only does this "enhancement" for unions of a null and another type.
I understand that we should not break compatibility until release 2.0, but do
you think this could be something that we might want to consider for 2.0 ?

> Json serialization of nullable fileds improvement.

> Currently serializing a nullable field of type union like:
> "type" : ["null","some type"]
> when serialized as JSON results in:
> "field":{"some type":"value"}
> when it could be:
> "field":"value"
