Tom White updated AVRO-834:
---------------------------
    Attachment: AVRO-834.patch

I recently used this tool to recover a corrupt Avro file, so it would be good
to move it along and make it available in a release. Here's a patch based on
Scott's that adds a test to exercise the tool for one file with a corrupt block
and one with a corrupt record. (For a corrupt block none of the records are
recoverable, whereas in the case of a corrupt record all of the previous
records in the block are recoverable.)

This depends on AVRO-1596 to run.

> I have built a data file recovery tool for corruption caused by AVRO-820.
> This needs work / documentation to be committed, but I thought it would be
> best to at least put a patch up for others to use as a starting point for
> working on an Avro Data File corruption recovery tool.
