1.7.8 that have not yet been committed? We'll probably release 1.8.0
soon, so there's no need to rush a new feature. What is important is
to get any deprecations in.

Zoltan Farkas just submitted a patch for AVRO-1497, logical type support
in java, that I'd like to get in if there is time. I think it would be
great to start getting support in for the work we've done in the spec
lately.
