The goal with this is to remove the Jackson classes from the public API so we
have the freedom to change the version of Jackson used internally in Avro
(possibly shading it, even, to avoid conflicts with the wider stack), or even
using a different JSON parser if there was a reason to (see parent JIRA
discussion).
