There appears to be no generic way to find out information about a given tool.
For some tools, passing no arguments works, but not all tools have mandatory
arguments.
I suggest that it's a good idea that all tools accept a "--help" flag which
would cause them to print usage information. Currently passing an unknown flag
such as --help will cause an exception but no useful usage information will be
shown.
