I couldn't reproduce this with a Avro and a netty IPC example. I noticed
something strange though -- Avro 1.9.2 should depend on Netty 3.10.6.Final. Is
there something in your configuration that might be modifying the jars
available to the process running the netty server?
Can you provide more details or (better yet) a reproducible unit test or
example?
