We need to find a way to include the examples in the Maven build but keep them
excluded from the binary jar(s) and have IDEs like IntelliJ or Eclipse
recognize the {{<module>/examples/src/\[java|scala\]}} as source files.
One way this can be achieved is by including the examples as "additional test
sources".
