I totally ignore if the APIs of CouchDb and Couchbase are similar but if they do it would be nice to share some code. Also it would be nice if the IO API is similar to other Document oriented stores like the Mongo. We have similar data stores like Bigtable/HBase or Elasticsearch/Solr sharing some of their 'style'.
