I think this is a great idea, Max. I am currently working on introductory materials for new Beam contributors, and this is exactly a section that I've wanted to include in my materials. I agree that having a high-level overview of Beam components and the people that work in them would be very useful to contributors trying to become familiar with the project. It would also allow potential contributors to get a better understanding of Beam, and where their skills may be most useful.
