I have been working with the Beam library in Python and GCP's Dataflow and encountered a problem with the library described in the issue I created here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEAM-11956 I also raised the issue in the google-cloud-spanner and the team helped me by including retry and tryout arguments in their library. I was able to use your code from the apache_beam.io.gcp.experimental.spannerio module to make my app work properly.
